Micro Florist is by far the most complete Florist Management software ever, featuring smooth user interface, maximum automation, ease of use, and features that our competitors can only dream about. Some of the important features of Micro Florist product line are not even possible in the Text Based environment offered by others.
You will spend about 95% of the total system usage time in the POS (Point Of Sale) portion of the system. The Visual Ticket is the only truly professional (industrial strength) visual (Graphical User Interface) POS system in the world. The visual nature of the system allows you to Point and Click your way through an order in record time, and along the way, click on few short-cut buttons that make your order entry dreams come true...
With Micro Florist, you can buy your own hardware, have a local technician install your network, and be rest assured that with any hardware or network problem, your Technician is only a Pager Message away. It is important to note that we do not force you to buy our hardware, or run your Florist Software on an Operating System (such as Unix) that no one else can understand, or deal with.

Point of Sale (POS)

Totally Non-Modal Interface allows you to go anywhere on the order pad, at any time, by simply clicking on it.
Totally Visual. You can see and print photos of products on the screen, on work orders, on enclosure cards, etc.
Totally Multi-Media. You can record and play back both Video and Audio for customer messages on enclosure cards, production instructions, etc..
Totally Easy. The only "professional" florist Point of Sale software that offers a true Point-and-Click interface.
Totally Multi-Tasked. Agents run in the background and do chores that otherwise you would have to WAIT for them to complete.
Totally Complete. Features not normally found in a POS system, such as Punch in/out, Spell Checker, Payment on Account, Caller-Id, etc
Production Tracking allows all stations to have access to Production Status of every order (whether the order is "not yet started", is "started by whom", os is "finished by whom", and where it is stored).
Delivery Tracking allows all stations tohave access to Delivery Status of every order (whether the order is "not yet loaded", it is "on delivery by whom", or it has been "delivered by whom", and the Driver's "delivery notes").
Problem Tracking allows all POS systems have access to Problem Status of every order (Who is handling it, Priority, Deadline, Corrective Action, Problem status).
Wire-out Tracking provides a central location for Assigning Filling Florists, and tracking the transmission status of all Wire-out orders.
Order Pad Status Tracking provides a central location to determine incomplete actions for a given day, and track all "Need Attention" orders. At a certain point in the afternoon, you can tell the system to "Start the Next Day" orders, and have the system process/print tomorrow's orders, allowing you to always stay ahead.
Save any order as a Template, and use it over and over again. Templates are maintained (saved) elsewhere keeping the Order pad "clean" and tidy.
Standing Orders. Schedule any Template for automatic insertion into the Order Pad, days, weeks, months, and even years ahead of time, by simply clicking on a calendar.
Super Search allows you to locate any order by it's Recipient First Name, Recipient Last Name, Sender First Name, Sender Last Name, Date and Time, Credit Card Number, Credit Card Authorization, Item-Id, Item Description, Florist Name, Florist Code, any many more fields by a simply clicking on a button..
The Balance Utility lets you track Starting and Ending Balances, and Sales for each Employee on each station. This allows employees to have their own portable Cash Drawers even if they move from one station to another. You can also Balance each department, division (location), or the entire shop.
The VOX (Virtual Order Transfer) module provides for background order transmission via the Internet, directly from your Website, or between your branch shops, as well as wire in/out order transfers among a group of associated flower shops. Caller-Id allows you to pull up the Customer Profile BEFORE you even pick up the phone. You would know, who the customer likes to speak with, what special occasions are coming up during the next couple of weeks, what his/her preferences are, and how much he/she usually spends...
Flora-Map is an integrated mapping solution that allows your Driver(s) to pull up the address of his next trip, and put a large X on the map for each one. All he has to do then, is to connect the Xs, and he is on his way, knowing the addresses are correct, and that he has chosen the best route for that hour of the day (that is why connecting Xs on the map is far better than a computer generated Routing Instructions, since the computer does not know Traffic Patterns, and roadway constructions, etc.).
Multiple Order Pads allows you to put one order on-hold (while the customer is looking for his Credit Card), and start another order.
Street Match utility allows you to define Delivery Zones (the Driver and the Delivery Charge) based on individual streets. An important feature, if your Delivery Zones are not based on Cities, or Zip codes.
Artificial Intelligence automatically adds Frequent Addresses to your "Frequent Address" database, based on the actual frequency of historical Delivery Ticket data.
The Sales Prompter allows you to setup "Prompter Windows" for every step of order entry, so that your staff can say "exactly the right words" to the customer. You can setup; "greetings prompter", "adding a new customer prompter", "delivery policy prompter", "item selection prompter", etc., etc.- You can change prompters, for each session, directly from your own computer, at your office.
Each item can have a regular Price and an Adjusted Price. This means you can change the price of an item, for a remainder of a day, and your sales staff would see both the regular price, and the adjusted price while taking the order. The Adjusted Price can then be removed on the following day.
Each item has a Quantity Counter. You can setup a Quantity Limit for each item. The Counter is adjusted across the network when each item is sold. This prevents Over Selling of items during holidays.
Artificial Intelligence automatically assigns Item_Ids (from your Inventory) for wire-in orders coming from external systems (i.e.; Mercury, Internet, Website) based on keywords used in Order Description.
Artificial Intelligence automatically assigns Delivery Zones, and deducts the Delivery Charge from your wire-in orders coming from external systems (i.e.; Mercury, Internet, Website).
Choose method of payment, obtain credit card authorization, print credit card slip, cashier receipt, invoice, open the cash drawer all by a just a few simple mouse clicks. The same applies to payments on account.
Setup different stations to run different Agents, based on their location, and load. Agents are automatically launched at startup. You front counter station may run the Mercury Agents, while your office computer may run the Caller-Id Agent, and so on.
The Print Agent prints the following Print Jobs in the background: Enclosure Cards, Work Tickets, Delivery Tickets, Invoices, Cashier Receipts, Credit Card slips, Declined Tickets, Shipping Labels, and Combined form (includes Enclosure Card, Work Ticket, and customer Invoice on one perforated form).
Each order is assigned a "Selling" Division, and an "Assigned" Division. Print Jobs (Delivery, Work, Enclosure card, invoice...) are selected (printed) based on the "Assigned Division". This means you can print an Enclosure Card with the Logo of your Greenhouse Business, by simply selecting Division #2 for the Assigned division of that order. Selling and Assigned Divisions allow you to track inter-company transfers between your Departments or Locations.

The keeper of the Financial Data, The Micro Florist Host provides a central location for all shared files on the Network.
Handles multi-user access to your valuable data with the safest possible strategies, providing Automatic Backup routines, and automatic repair modules.
Provides 5 totally separate, and detached "Company" directories, allowing you to run 5 completely separate businesses.
Provides 99 divisions (locations or Profit Centers) within each company. Divisions share the same Customer and Inventory files, but provide the means to track Revenue, Expenses, and Income Statement for each division.
Provides an Alternate real time Sales Entry capability through the Cash Register module. The Cash Register module provides the fastest method of sales entry directly into financial records.
Complete Revenue analysis, reports, closing/balancing modules, and Management Graphs provided through the Flora-Graph accessory.
Complete Inventory Tracking and Inventory Management. Unlimited number of Inventory items, with both Standard Inventory items, and Service Items. Support

First of all there is no mandatory support plan.
Micro Florist Support plans start from only $180 per year. The top support plan is only $150 per month (includes Emergency Telephone Support). Most customers chose the Support Plan #3, which is only $450 per year, which includes Wire Service Directory Downloads for two wire services, BBS Membership, and unlimited updates for Micro Florist, Flora Ticket and Visual Ticket systems.
When deciding between Micro Florist and another (the Unix based) system, please consider the Net Present Value (NPV) of the $250 monthly Support payment for the next 10 years, and adjust the quote given to you by that much. Using a 10% interest rate, the NPV amount exceeds $80,000 !!

Payback

Lets assume you are have a medium size shop, with 5 incoming phone lines. Lets also assume you decided to purchase a "7 Station Gold" Micro Florist (w/Visual Ticket) system. The system will cost about $13,000 with $350/Month lease payment. Lets assume your hardware costs will be another $13,000. This makes your monthly Lease payment to be around $700 per month. Since lease payments are tax deductible, lets assume the net cost to be $500 per month.
When dividing $500 by 30, we will get $17 per day to completely computerize your shop. This translates into hiring somebody for 3 hours a day at $5.50 per hour.
Just imagine having 7 stations, running Visual Ticket, entering sales as they are called in, obtaining Credit Card authorizations in the background, sending receiving Mercury Orders in the background, printing all the paperwork, tracking Deliveries, Production, and problems, punch in / punch out, payroll, accounting, marketing, auto-reconcile of wire orders, wire reports, etc., etc., ALL for only $17 per day....

What Next ?!

We consulted with 3 Marketing Agencies, and all 3 of them recommended against shipping the Free Trial CD to prospects!! Their rational was
Your main competitors don't do it, why should you take this risk ?
Shipping sophisticated software with absolutely NO training, may disappoint and frustrate potential customers
No one will take the time to figure things out, without having paid thousands of dollars to be forced to make it work.... They recommended; Fancy Color Broshures, Demo disk (slide show), and a Video tape !!

It is obvious, that we (the Developers) feel otherwise. We believe that this is a risk worth taking. We have already invested about $300 on each lead that receives a CD, in marketing, advertising, sales, CD production and shipping costs. So, we don't mind going further in helping you install and use this CD.

We believe that the CD provides a far better presentation on product documentation, and specifications, all being in full color, with embedded hyperlinks, and search capabilities. As far as "untrained exposure to sophisticated software" goes, we simply believe that the "Natural Flow" of the User Interface, and the solid design of the product, will speak for itself, and will trigger the curiosity of the "thinking minds"....

But most importantly, we want to have those customers who really care about their investment, and are willing to spend a little time, and learn to raise their expectations and their point of reference. Once they realize "what is possible", from that point on, they will demand the kind of functionality they have seen in Micro Florist products. Lets face it, this is like getting married folks!!. The consequences of this decision will be with you for at least another 10 years. So, an "engagement" period, is definitely in order.
